Glow in the Dark by Cosmic-Cuttlefish Glow in the Dark by Cosmic-Cuttlefish
:music: Stars :music:

I was listening to Stars by Warpaint, one of my favourite bands, and the lyrics inspired me to make a fractal based on the glow-in-the-dark stars that people have on their ceilings. :star:

Made with Apophysis 2.09.

I just knew this was yours when I saw the thumbnail. :D Definitely one of my top favorites among your works so far!
Did you use a specific plugin for the stars? And if I may also ask: how did you manage to make them glow without dispersing their shape? :?

I didn't actually use any plugins for this one - the whole thing was made by using combinations of the different Julia variations. The glow effect is a separate transform. I'm thinking of writing a brief tutorial/explanation for it soon. :) Thanks for the great comment anyway, I'm glad you like it.

Wow!! How did you make the stars in Apo? Could you do a tutorial? This piece is amazing!

The technique itself is actually fairly similar to my previous two tutorials, as it involves combining Julia transforms, but the steps and variations involved are quite different, so I'd probably need to write a separate tutorial for it. I'll have a go at writing one at some point.

Thank you very much for the fave, anyway - it was fun to make. :)
