Anxiety by Cosmic-Cuttlefish Anxiety by Cosmic-Cuttlefish
(edit - improved the badly-implemented vignette - thanks =f-ix!)

The title of this one speaks for itself - I was hoping that the disorderly shape and unnatural colour scheme would be a good representation of an anxious state of mind.

Made with Apophysis 7X, with some slight colour adjustments and postwork done in Photoshop.

Nicely done! I can imagine this as an early stage of anxiety.

I think you did a very good depiction of what anxiety looks like! Lots of trails that go on forever with sudden brilliant burst of spiraling energy. Well, that's what anxiety looks like to me!

Thanks a lot - that's definitely what I was aiming for here. I'm glad you like it. :) And I like the 'anxious' emoticon too, hehe.

...sigh...I always find so much beauty in your work.
I'm sorry I'm an epic failure at seeing your vision most of the time.

That's high praise, so thank you Jess. :) All art means different things to different people, especially abstract, so there's no such thing as 'failing' to interpret something. I'd be interested to know what you see in this one though, if not anxiety/tension.
